The Audi e-tron - The Electric Super car!

When the future arrives, it arrives in grand style. The future of automobiles - the electric super car has been unveiled by Audi, at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The e-tron is not just an electric car. It is an electric super car, featuring electric motors at all four wheels and delivering a jaw-dropping 4500Nm of torque. The e-tron powers to 0-60 mph in just under 5 seconds, and goes a top speed of 125 mph.

The e-tron can recharge from a domestic power point in about eight hours, giving it a range of about 150 miles. Audi is diligently working towards developing other recharging options for the car, including a rapid charging station that can fill the batteries to full capacity in about two and a half hours.

Most importantly, Audi is working on a home-based wireless charging system, similar to those used for electric toothbrushes, where it doesn't require the car to be plugged into a socket, thus allowing the electric vehicle to automatically recharge as soon as it noses into the garage.

Inside, the e-tron looks intelligently similar to a touch-screen mobile phone than a car. Audi has integrated touch sensors that have eliminated almost all the switches that usually dominate the cabin of conventional cars.

This Audi concept car will also be able to interact with car parks, and informing the driver if a space is available and also reserves the space for the car even before the e-tron noses into the driveway.

As the leading Audi dealer based out of Baton Rouge, LA, Brian Harris Audi stocks the latest models, and provide you with model reviews and any information you may require, if you are considering an Audi.
